Radnoti Platinum Stimulating Electrodes
Overview
A wide range of field stimulating platinum electrodes are available for use with Radnoti Tissue-Organ Bath apparatuses or systems (in 4, 8 and 16 tissue chamber configurations including PowerLab data acquisition systems) to provide electrical stimulation to a tissue sample via a compatible stimulator.
Universal Platinum Electrodes
These electrodes are designed with a universal holder, which can fit a variety of different platinum electrodes (straight, coil, zig-zag, L-shaped, flat), and are suitable for use with the 10 mL or larger Radnoti Tissue-Organ Bath chambers. Its design allows adjustment of electrodes both vertically and horizontally, permitting precise placement of leads in relation to the tissue sample.
Combination Tissue Support and Stimulating Electrodes
These combination electrodes are designed for use with any suitable 5-10 mL or 25-50 mL Radnoti Tissue-Organ Baths. They combine a glass tissue hook or lower L-shaped support with suitable stimulating electrodes, effectively increasing efficiency and reducing the number of objects in the bath chamber.
Product Configurations
Universal Holder with L-Shaped Electrode
Configured and recommended for use with tissue ring preparations, which include blood vessels. It is compatible with the 5-10mL and 25-50mL Tri Supports.
L-Type Stimulating Electrode with Tissue Support
It has a lower L-shaped tissue support with two horizontal platinum wire electrodes, and is designed to hold (with 158817 or 158819 Tri Supports) and stimulate a tissue ring, which include blood vessels.
Straight Platinum Lead Electrode Insert (2 pk)
A set of two platinum straight wire electrode inserts for use with the Universal Holder design and compatible stimulator, which together are designed to generate a field stimulation across a small thin or narrow tissue strip or spiral-cut tissue sample. These are ideal for applications that require less wattage to drive the stimulation.
Zig-Zag Platinum Lead Electrode Insert (2 pk)
A set of two platinum zig-zag wire electrode inserts for use with the Universal Holder design and compatible stimulator, which together are designed to generate a field stimulation across a thicker or longer tissue strip or a larger spiral-cut tissue sample. These provide a greater and more even field across the sample.
Coil Platinum Lead Electrode Insert (2 pk)
A set of two platinum coil wire electrode inserts for use with the Universal Holder design and compatible stimulator, which together are designed to generate a uniform field stimulation across either a small tissue strip, spiral-cut tissue or very small tissue samples.
L-shape Platinum Lead Electrode Insert (2 pk)
A set of two platinum L-shape wire electrode inserts for use with the Universal Holder design and compatible stimulator, which together are designed to generate a uniform field stimulation across tissue ring preparations, which include blood vessels.
Flat Paddle Platinum Lead Electrode Insert (2 pk)
A set of two platinum flat paddle electrode inserts for use with the Universal Holder design and compatible stimulator, which together are designed to generate a field stimulation across a very small tissue sample. They provide an alternative to coil electrodes and are ideal when maximizing a low stimulation wattage is required.
