What is the Grace Period?
The grace period is a 21-day period of Lt access upon first login before you are required to enter an access code. Grace periods and access codes only apply to institutions where students pay for their own access to Lt. If your institution covers the cost, no access codes are required.
How Long is the Grace Period?
The maximum grace period available is 21 days. You can enter an access code anytime within this period.
Why Use the Grace Period?
The grace period gives you flexibility if:
- Your schedule changes.
- You drop the course using Lt.
- You haven’t yet purchased an access code.
It allows you to access course content while arranging payment.
What Happens When the Grace Period Runs Out?
If your grace period expires, you must enter an Lt access code to continue. To do so:
- Purchase an Lt access code if you haven't already.
- Enter the code into the prompt on your Lt homepage.
For information on purchasing an access code, check your syllabus or contact your instructor.
When Does the Grace Period Start?
The grace period begins when you:
- Accept your Lt course invite.
- Log in to Lt.
- Select “Enter Code Later” when prompted.
How Do I Know My Grace Period is About to Expire?
The remaining days of your grace period are displayed on your Lt dashboard. Look for the grace period banner.
