The transducers that are orientation-specific include: MLT0201 Force Transducer (5 mg-25 g) and MLT0201/RAD Force Transducer (5 mg-25 g)
These transducers need to be clamped in such a way that the cable (exits the transducer and connects the transducer to the Bridge Amp) is on top. This cable indicates the top of the transducer. The force signal will be attenuated or might even be zero if the force transducer is in an incorrect orientation.
