Force Transducers for Physiology and Biomedical Research
ADInstruments offers a wide range of force transducers designed for use in physiology, pharmacology, and biomedical research. These sensitive sensors allow researchers to record muscle contractions, tissue tension, and other biomechanical forces with precision. Compatible with PowerLab data acquisition systems and LabChart analysis software, they provide reliable data for both teaching and research applications in human and animal studies.
Product Configurations
Wide Range Force Transducer (10 mg - 1 kg, DIN)
- Wide-range, semi-isometric, strain-gauge force transducer consisting of 5 blades, 4 of which are removable, allowing the stiffness of transducer to be adjusted for the required sensitivity
- Ideal for measuring muscle contractions, tissue tension, or similar biomechanical forces from 10 mg to 1 kg in a wide range of biological preparations involving both large and small animals
- The force transducer is suitable for connection to any ADInstruments Bridge Amp. This transducer is also available with an audio connector suitable for use with a Bridge Pod.
This product is not currently available for purchase in the EU.

- Highly sensitive isometric force transducer
- Support rod (diameter 6 mm, length 165 mm) is easily adjustable to suit different micropositioners.
- Ideal for isolated tissue experiments and physiology research where small forces (~0 g) up to 20 g are expected.
- For use with our range of tissue and organ bath systems.
- DIN connector.
Force Transducer (0-2g)
- Ultra-sensitive isometric force transducer.
- Support rod (diameter 6 mm, length 165 mm) is easily adjustable to suit different micropositioners.
- Ideal for isolated tissue research applications where small forces (~0 g) up to 2 g are expected.
- For use with our range of tissue and organ bath systems.
- DIN connector.
