Directly Linking Students to an Lt Lesson
To share a direct link to an Lt lesson with students, follow these steps:
- Publish the Lt lesson(s) either within a module or as individual lessons.
- Navigate to the Schedule card.
- Locate the lesson of interest.
- Click the three vertical dots on the right of the Lesson card.
- Select Get Link.
- Copy the generated link.
- Share the link with your students.
Note: Students must already have Lt sign-in credentials and be enrolled in the course for the shared link to work. The Get Link URL will only display the Lt lesson for users with student accounts. If accessed by an educator with only a staff account, an "access denied" message will appear.
Linking Students to the Lt Homepage
As Lt is a standalone website, you can provide students with a general link to Lt Sign In. This allows students to access all their courses and content in one place without the need to generate unique lesson links.
Advantages of linking to Lt Sign In:
- Simple setup: No need to create or maintain unique URLs for individual lessons.
- Easy access: Students can navigate to all their enrolled courses and lessons from the homepage.
Using LTI Deep Links
If your institution uses LTI integration to provide links within your LMS, refer to the LTI Integration Setup Guides for detailed instructions.
Advanced Workflows
The Get Link URL can be modified to direct students to a specific page within a lesson or to an entire module. Here’s how:
Linking to a Specific Page in a Lesson
To direct students to a specific page in a lesson, modify the number at the end of the URL. For example:
Example for page 1:
syd1.kuracloud.com/i/xxxxxxxx/student/course/10/published/200/lesson/open/page/1
Example for page 7:
syd1.kuracloud.com/i/xxxxxxxx/student/course/10/published/200/lesson/open/page/7
Linking to a Module
To link directly to a module rather than a lesson, adjust the URL format. For example:
Linking to a lesson:
https://syd1.kuracloud.com/i/xxxxxxxx/student/courses/63/published/216/module/lessons/5908/open/page/1
Linking to a module:
https://syd1.kuracloud.com/i/xxxxxxxx/student/courses/63/module/216
Note: Ensure the module number (e.g., 216 in the example) comes after "/module/" in the URL.
