Overview
The ADInstruments Rodent Cardiomyocyte Isolation Apparatus is a modular and compact unit that is designed to function with a suitable peristaltic pump and heated water circulator, such as the Minipuls 3 Peristaltic Pump and Thermal Water Circulator (5L). Together they are ideal for extracting cardiomyocytes from isolated rodent hearts (mice and rats) via retrograde perfusion of an enzymatic solution. The apparatus incorporates high-quality stainless steel and double-walled, borosilicate glassware that provides clear visualization of the entire perfusate pathway for detecting air bubbles or any other contaminants. The standard design can allow up to two consecutive perfusions of different enzymatic solutions. One of the enzymatic solutions can be further recirculated with the Minipuls 3 Peristaltic Pump.
The apparatus can be easily simplified or upgraded to match the complexity of your experimental needs. Please consult your local sales representative for more information.
