×PAU Series
PAU or COnfidence flowprobes are made for chronic and acute cardiac output studies in large animal models. Ideal for accurate, immediate, beat-to-beat measurements on the ascending aorta and pulmonary artery. They are designed for used with Disposable Ultrafit Liners, which provides cushioning for safe, easy placement and attachment without a clip. Each flowprobe is supplied with 2 liners (1 open style for acute and 1 closed full-circle style for chronic use). These liners are recommended for single use only and can be purchased separately (reorder) in packs of 5.
PXL Series
PXL Series sensors “clamp-on” to most flexible laboratory and extracorporeal tubing. They provide total physical and electrical isolation is maintained between the sensor and the liquid, and thus ideal for quick, repeatable process testing that is applied to multiple circuits without flow interruption. Applications include artificial heart and VAD performance, medical device and pump engineering, manufacturing and compliance flow testing. Different options are available for tubing outer diameter measured in inches and mm. Each flowsensor is supplied standard with 2 m cable and a CC16 16-pin metal connector.
PXN Series
PXN series sensors offer flexibility in studies where tubing requirements are subject to change. Sensors splice into laboratory tubing for volume flow measurements of blood and other fluids, ranging from <1 to 100 L/min. Applications include perfused isolated organ studies, flow phantoms and circulatory models, tubing flow requiring maximum sensitivity. Each flowsensor is supplied standard with 1.85 m cable and a CC16 or CP16 16-pin metal connector.
PMP Series
PMP Series flowprobes have clinical-style handles to match those used in clinical surgical settings, making them ideal for intraoperative measurements in preclinical animal trials. Each flowprobe is supplied with a J-reflector, 2 m cable and a CRA10 connector.
V Series
V Series flowprobes, also known as Flex series nanoprobes, are designed for acute flow measurements with high resolution at low flows in small blood vessels, which is ideal for mice. The smaller probe is suitable for vessel diameters of 0.25 - 0.5 mm (mouse and rat femoral or hepatic arteries), while the larger probe is suitable for vessel diameters of 0.35 - 0.7 mm (mouse carotid and mesenteric arteries or portal vein; and rat carotid, superior mesenteric and renal arteries). Each flowprobe has a 60 cm cable and a Flexi-handle with CRA10 connector.
PS Series
PS Series flowprobes offer standard or custom configurations for animal models (mice and larger animals). Our range includes miniaturized versions (nanoprobes - 0.5 and 0.7mm) that measure flow <1mL/min. A 75 – 95% fit of the vessel in the probe is recommended for accurate measurements. Each standard acute flowprobe has a 100 cm cable (except MA1.5PSL, which has a 60 cm cable) and a CRA10 connector.
PR Series
PR Series flowprobes are for small acute or chronic applications that require larger probe heads for robustness. A 75 – 95% fit of the vessel in the probe is recommended for accurate measurements. Each standard acute flowprobe has a 60 cm cable and a CRA10 connector.
PS/ V series
Nanoprobes are specialized, miniature PS series Flowprobes, designed to measure mouse-sized blood flows of < 1 ml/min with Transonic Systems signature high resolution quality.
PS Series Nanoprobes
V Series
Note: The V series Flowprobes are available for Transonic 400-series Flowmeters only. Each has a 60 cm cable and a Flexi-handle with CRA10 connector.
PRICE ON REQUEST
A range of Flowprobes and Flowsensors are available to measure fluid flow in laboratory tubing; blood flow in vessels of various diameters; and cardiac output in acute and chronic preparations.
A range of flowprobes and flowsensors are available from Transonic Systems, which are designed to be used with corresponding flowmeter modules, to accurately and precisely measure various fluid volume flows.
Perivascular Flowprobes
Measure acute and chronic in vivo flow in both small and large animal blood vessel. Perivascular flowprobes are placed external to the vessel and do not interfere with flow to the target tissues. For use with Perivascular Flow System Options.
Tubing Flowsensors
Measure volume flow in laboratory tubing containing non-aerated liquids including water, saline, buffer solutions, blood, and other fluids, either by splicing into or clamping onto the tubing depending on the design. Tubing flowsensors provide reliable, stable measurements even under perturbed and non-steady flow conditions. For use with Tubing Flow System Options.
Precalibrated for easy, immediate use
Transonic flowprobes and flowsensors are precalibrated and ready for immediate use. Data is recorded with a corresponding flowmeter module and via an Instrument Interface and/or PowerLab into LabChart software, where flexible recording options and real-time calculations are available. Custom calibration are also available for atypical uses.
