Radnoti Water Jacketed Flow Through Electrode Holders
Overview
Radnoti Water Jacketed Flow Through Electrode Holders allows the insertion of a range of measurement sensors into a perfusion circuit, such as in Isolated Rodent Liver/Kidney, Langendorff and Working Heart setups. They use the Radnoti Quick Disconnect fittings to attach to a heated water perfusion circuit, and are available as 1, 2 or 3 ports. Each port can be attached with a few interfacing fitting types (Luer or Rubber Septa Port Coupler), transforming it into either a microelectrode holder for compatible microelectrodes (pH, oxygen or other ion selective electrode), an access port for attachment to a pressure transducer, or a septum covered sampling port for insertion of needles.
Note: Pressure transducers, microelectrodes and some interface fittings are available and purchased separately.
Product Configurations
In-Line Injection Port (7.84 mm Septa, 2 pk)
A borosilicate glass tube (8 mm O.D., 3 mm I.D. and 35 mm overall length), which terminates to a female luer port on each side, and has a threaded side port with a screw cap that holds a replaceable septa (7.84mm). Its luer ports allow it to be inserted into a perfusion circuit with the corresponding sized tubing. The septa on its side permits injection of drugs via syringe or syringe pump systems (purchased separately). Its clear glass body permits observation of drug entry and the detection of the formation of precipitates or bubbles. Additionally, this glassware can be disassembled and cleaned thoroughly, eliminating a site for bacterial growth that may lead to loss of preparation viability. It is supplied in a pack of two.
