Radnoti Teflon Needle Valves and Oxygen Disperser Tubes
Overview
Teflon needle valves (TNV) are incorporated Radnoti Oxygenating Tubes and gassing manifolds, which are used throughout all of Radnoti apparatuses, including Tissue Organ Bath, Langendorff and Working Heart setups, because it provides more controllable, accurate and dependable gas flow when compared to the awkward tubing clamping method.
Radnoti Oxygenating Tubes with TNV
Radnoti Oxygenating Tube with Teflon Needle Valve additionally incorporates a sintered disc at the end of the oxygenating tube that provides an even and uniform gas dispersion. Utilizing the Radnoti Quick Disconnect cap, it is easily removable, which makes cleaning easy and replacement convenient. They are available in a range of sizes to suit:
- Radnoti 1660 Series Hi-Tech Tissue Organ Baths
- Radnoti 1585 Series Tissue Bath with Built In Electrodes
- Radnoti 1650 Series “Q” Quiet Tissue Organ Baths
- Radnoti 1660 Series Tissue Organ Baths for Large Organ or Single Cell Isolation
- Radnoti Oxygenating Chamber (Sheet Flow)

Plain Oxygen Disperser Tube
A plain oxygenating disperser tube without TNV is also available for applications that do not demand such accurate gassing control. It is easily removable, which makes cleaning easy and replacement convenient, since in repeated use, the sintered glass disc may be occluded by the components of physiological solutions and endogenously released substance from tissue preparation. It has a female Luer port for attachment to the gassing line, and is available in different sizes as a pack of 6, to correspond to different tissue bath sizes.

Radnoti 2-Way TNV "Y" Manifold
A gassing manifold that resembles a “Y” that incorporates two Teflon Needle Valves (TNV) to elegantly split a single gas source to two gassing lines, which the TNV provides fine control and balance of the gas distribution between them. Both its borosilicate glass body and TNV ensures a chemically inert gas path. Its female Luer inflow and outflow glass ports are grounded, which allow easy and secure connections to gas tubing lines. A 3/8″ glass rod is fused to the manifold body, which allows for easy attachment to a Radnoti Lab Stand via Radnoti Universal Stand Clamp with the yellow capped nylon screw.
It is often used to deliver oxygen to several reservoirs containing buffer, such as in Tissue Organ Bath, Langendorff and Working Heart setups.
