Respiratory belts are useful in measuring changes in thoracic or abdominal circumference during respiration. These measurements can indicate inhalation, expiration and breathing strength and can be used to derive breathing rate and characterize breathing patterns.

The Respiratory Belt Transducer is designed to measure changes in chest diameter resulting from breathing. The belt produces a linear voltage proportional to changes in length and connects directly to a Pod (DIN) Port on a PowerLab. It is primarily designed for use on humans but can also be used on small and large animals.
The Equivital Sensor Electronics Module (SEM) USB Lead enables the connection of one Equivital SEM to a PC for charging and configuration. The USB cord can also be used to easily import time synchronized data files into LabChart.
Nine belt size options available for individual sale. Each contain ECG electrodes and expansion based respiratory belt transducer as well as ports and pouch required to store and interface with SEM plus ancillary connections.
