Panels are the building blocks of lesson pages in Lt. They allow you to add instructional content, interactive media, questions, and data acquisition activities to a lesson.
Tips for beautiful layouts in Lt
• Less is more — simple layouts are easier to follow
• Use common proportions (halves, thirds, quarters)
• Keep page layouts consistent
• Avoid text panels wider than 8 columns
• Allow images to fill their panel when possible
Panel Types
Core panels used to add instructional content, media, and layout elements to a lesson page.
- Text Panel - Add instructions and formatted text
- Image Panel - Display diagrams or figures
- Button Panel - Create action or download buttons
- Table Panel - Display structured data in rows and columns
- Spreadsheet Panel - Perform calculations with spreadsheet-style cells
- Graph Panel - Display data visually using graphs
- Whitespace Panel - Add spacing between panels
- Notebook Panel - Allow students to record notes
- Mini Pages Panel - Organize content into tabbed sections
- Hotspot Panel - Create interactive image-based questions

- Text Question - Students enter a written response to a question.
- Upload and Annotate Image - Students upload an image and annotate it with labels or markings
- Multi-Choice Question - Students select one or more correct answers from a list of options.
- Table Question - Students complete or interpret data within a table.
- Spreadsheet Question - Students enter or calculate values using spreadsheet-style cells.
- Graph Question - Students analyze or interact with graphical data.
- Label Image - Students identify parts of an image by placing labels.
- Drag and Drop - Students drag items to the correct location or category.
- Categories - Students sort items into defined groups.
- Fill in Blanks - Students complete sentences or statements by entering missing words.

- Read-only Data - Displays recorded data without allowing changes.
- Data Sampling - Records physiological signals during an experiment.
- Data Value - Displays numeric values derived from recorded data.
- Stimulator - Controls stimulus output during experiments.
- Spirometry - Records and analyzes respiratory measurements.
- Units Calibration - Allows calibration of recording units before sampling.
- Read-only Scope - Displays signals without allowing interaction.
- Scope Sampling - Shows signals in real time while recording.
