dP/dt is a signal derived from pressure, typically ventricular blood pressure, that indicates the change in pressure over time.
Isolated organ research allows for an organ to be studied in a controlled environment, free from external influences. Conditions such as temperature, the degree of oxygenation, available nutrients, and pH can be controlled for research purposes.
Perfusion of an organ - usually the heart, lungs, liver or kidney - may be required. Once the organ is successfully maintained outside the body, its physiological function can be studied via a whole suite of recordable parameters such as force, muscle contractions, pressure, and biopotentials.
ADInstruments offer a wide range of high-quality products, systems, and solutions to meet your isolated organ research needs, including a variety of tissue-organ bath systems. LabChart provides streamlined software to measure and analyze changes in blood pressure, flow, and volume, as well as many additional functions for pharmacological and cardiovascular research. We also offer a Dose Response Add-On, with analysis and graphical display of dose response data recorded in LabChart.
In conjunction with our solutions shown below, any device with an analog output (+/- 10V) can be connected to a PowerLab data acquisition system for synchronization of the event in LabChart, giving you even more flexibility and the ability to integrate your data streams in one place.
All our hardware is backed by the appropriate safety certification standards. More information on safety standards.

dP/dt is a signal derived from pressure, typically ventricular blood pressure, that indicates the change in pressure over time.
Electrocardiography can be recorded for easy processing of heart rate, heart rate variability and similar functions.
Measure electrical stimulation and pacing for your in vitro research.
Fluid flow can be recorded in isolated organ research.
Force can be measured in isolated organ research.
Using pressure or electrical activity, monitor heart health by calculating heart rate.
Measure pH with the ultimate working heart system and pH Amplifier.
Measure parameters including perfusion/aortic pressure (afterload), dP/dt, Left ventricular pressure, left atrial pressure (preload) and developed pressure.
Temperature is a useful tool in determining many factors such as subject health or the stability of an experimental preparation. It is also usefulas a calculation factor for comparing measurements taken in different states.
Measure volume of isolated organs.
ADInstruments systems provide an integrated solution to advance life science research. With the combination of LabChart or LabChart Lightning analysis software and a PowerLab data acquisition unit, you have the flexibility to collect and synchronize a wide range of signals for analysis. We also offer a range of LabChart compatible solutions able to stream directly in LabChart.
